VISTA-AR - Bringing Digital Technology to Cultural Heritage Sites

The VISTA-AR project has explored various digital devices to enhance visitor experiences. Utilizing virtual reality helmets, tablets, smartphones, and immersive room experiences, the project brings history to life. Visitors can interact with characters from the past and gain access to otherwise inaccessible heritage artifacts. These digital tools have been used to create new experiences in four additional locations: the National Trust Tin Coast and the South West Coastal Path in the UK, as well as the Lorient Submarine Museum and the Gardens of Valloires in France.
